What if a betrayal haunts and breaks you into pieces inside? Super pretend that it doesn't affect you, laugh so loud that nobody can hear the sound of tears flooding like a wild river, get pre occupied with all the work that doesn't exist in "real", imagine yourself as a larger than life person and behave abnormally normal, try try and try to imagine all the love stories are ultimately the stories of betrayal!

When a natural disaster hits, we talk for years about the height of the waves, the ferocity of the wind, the power of the tremor that remade the landscape of our lives. But the emotional disasters in our lives go largely unacknowledged, their repercussions unclaimed.

bedtime story:
"Franz Kafka, the story goes, encountered a little girl in the park where he went walking daily. She was crying. She had lost her doll and was desolate.
Kafka offered to help her look for the doll and arranged to meet her the next day at the same spot. Unable to find the doll he composed a letter from the doll and read it to her when they met.
'Please do not mourn me, I have gone on a trip to see the world. I will write you of my adventures.' This was the beginning of many letters. When he and the little girl met he read her from these carefully composed letters the imagined adventures of the beloved doll. The little girl was comforted.
When the meetings came to an end Kafka presented her with a doll. She obviously looked different from the original doll. An attached letter explained: 'my travels have changed me... '
Many years later, the now grown girl found a letter stuffed into an unnoticed crevice in the cherished replacement doll. In summary it said: 'every thing that you love, you will eventually lose, but in the end, love will return in a different form.'" —Kafka & the Doll: The Pervasiveness of Loss, May Benatar

Letter to myself;

Dear Leena, I know you so much and wont let myself judge you. You flutter yourself like a wombwet bird every dawn only to have wings large enough to hide the sun to dusk. You are too bright for the dust to cloud you.
Remember, you are born with the readiness to love and dont forget to give more than you receive. Your soul is your home and is armoured with your fearless 'self'. Am sure that you will not let anything crush it.
You are your weather and you bloom a hibiscus with your own water and sun and soil, come what may, who may!
Kisses
Leena

Michael Rosen's Poem For The Children of Gaza:

In Gaza, children,
you learn that the sky kills
and that houses hurt.
You learn that your blanket is smoke
and breakfast is dirt.
You learn that cars do somersaults
clothes turn red,
friends become statues,
bakers don’t sell bread.
You learn that the night is a gun,
that toys burn
breath can stop,
it could be your turn.

‘We are also looking at our observers.
We Palestinians sometimes forget that - as in
country after country. the surveillance.
confinement and study of Palestinians is part
of the process of reducing our status and
preventing our national fulfillment except as
the Other who is opposite and unequal.
always on the defensive - we too are looking,
we too are scrutinizing, assessing, judging.
We are more than someone’s object. We
do more than stand passively in front of
whoever, for whatever reason, has wanted to
look at us
